Ways to participate in Earthcast 2010:

The Earthcast 24 Hour Live webcastathon gives people of all ages the opportunity to present to and have conversations with a global community about environmental topics. If you are a teacher and want to provide your students with a live audience to share their thinking and work with, then the Earthcast project may very well be of interest. Please review these ideas and add your own! If you'd like to get involved with some of the preliminary activities leading up to and including the actual webcastathon, please sign up on the following Preliminary Project Participation Google Form so we can contact you.
By filling out the form you are in no way obligated to participate. We're just trying to collect some preliminary contact information in preparation for planning the event. We'd love your help!

This is more of a brainstorm page for ideas to participate. Please contribute ideas!

  • Listen in live and join in the conversation at http://earthbridges.net/live. This is a simple and easy way to participate.
  • Sign up for an hour or half hour to webcast during the GMT day. GO here to sign up for a time slot, contact information, and add a brief description.
    • (If you need someone to webcast for you, we can arrange it.)
  • Have something pre-recorded (others could air it if you need it arranged.)
  • Interview someone who works in the clean tech industry or some other related field.
  • Conduct a panel discussion.
  • Share what is being done in the school.
  • Tag related photos, blogs, info, etc as earthcast10
  • Give students the opportunity to present and defend their research and thinking on any related topic. For example, a student could research the President's proposal to build a high speed rail network across the US. Based upon her research, she could then remix his proposal and offer ideas to improve upon it (alternately, she could create a thesis that disputes the utility of the President's plan).

*Want to participate but need some ideas or have suggestions? Email earthbridges@gmail.com

We are also looking for people with pre-recorded audio (any length) to play during the late-night, early morning hours or within a scheduled project. If you have audio, please email us too!.
